2

Determine the head measurement

Measure the length or circumference of the head

Find the mid point between the ears. Measure from mid-point to nose tip.

Note: Measure mid point from behind the ears, not front (see first figure).
Do not follow contours of the dog’s face. Measure in straight line only (see right figure).

Short snout breed often have no nose standing out as well as they greatly vary with regards to weight (influencing size of neck). For this reason, their head’s circumference is the best indication of size.

Measure your pet’s head from mid-ear down and around behind the jaws and back to the ears. (see third image)

Note: Measure relatively tight over the ears as it will be out of the Optivizor later!

3

Determine weight

What is the current weight of your pet?

4

Determine final sizing

If you are getting a different sizes from Step 2 & 3, choose sizing according to weight. This is because, dogs come in all shapes and sizes even within the breed.

If your pet is between sizes, size down.
